51 "BISONS" PVO

On the 14th December 2007 few handsome and dedicated Lock On pilots have decided that the time is right to shape completely new online squadron, with new ideas, unique culture, competitive approach and world-wide fame and presence.

On the 15th December 2007 squadron has been officialy named 51 PVO to honor real historical squadron and Krymsk has been chosen as main base of operations. Local wild animal - the bison - was proudly adopted as squadron's icon. We celebrate 15 Dec as Official 51 "BISONS" Birthday.

On the 1st March 2008 51 PVO has become combat ready. All requirements have been met to maintain everyday presence over Caucasus.

51 PVO was founded by former Fighter Wing pilots of VVS 504 Red Hammers:

Breakshot, Shaman, X-man

followed by such great former VVS 504 individuals like:

Teknetinium, Frostie, Redeagle, Rhino, Highway.

Unfortunately Highway had to prematurely retire due to personal reasons. Rhino retired at later date. S!

All official matches/fightersweeps and fightersweep trainings are organized entirely by participating squads, without any 3rd party involved. Below you can see a history of both official matches and fightersweep trainings.

We would like to say warm Thank You to all squadrons that took the challenge and decided to match with us.

VVS 504 squadron has been our home for years and we are proud of our time served there and what we achieved. VVS 504 was operational with Maykop as its homebase and managed by our old friends. However our days as VVS 504 pilots are over and we are now seperate units since. We are now flying as 51 PVO based at Krymsk and work on our own name and reputation.

There's no better place then our History Room to say how greatfull we are to our friends from VVS504 for all interesting times we have had while being part of their squadron. VVS 504 will definately be in our hearts and minds, and we will never forget it.

Currently together with our many other online squads we are keeping Lock On multiplayer scene alive and kickin'.

There's never been so many dedicated online squadrons as we have now.
