Training / match suggestions 59th vs. 51st

  • Quote

Postby Redeagle » 04 Dec 2010 14:44

59th Streightholo and I talked about possebilities for a little encounter.

59th has 6 fighters and 4 bombers available. Since 51st only has fighters I suggested a format where we defend something while 59th tries to bomb that something.
It could be a airfield, a convoy with little SAM coverage or maybe a ship close to the coast... :winky:

Or we make it more simple with just a fighter vs. fighters squad match.

I think a early Sunday (17zulu or so) would suit good. Maybe January 2nd?

Here's the space to discuss :)

Sounds like a good idea to me! If 59th can bring the numbers in both the fighter and bomber department we can make this sort of mission happen with just two squads...

Some mission proposals would be welcome!

Greetings Gentlemen!

I'm glad to have the cooperation back in our squads' life! Last time there were some ukrainian folks IIRC or something to step on our holy land and to be blown up or something like that, yeah, that was fun

We're eager to have such kind of exercises. I think the basic idea, Redeagle come up with, fits us just fine. However, I have to somehow convince the mudmover guys to fly AGAINST you 51st, 'cause its all but a life assurance :) And they treat Suzy too good to let her go suicide :P

We've already have the training on schedule, currently the first thing is to come up with a date on our side. We are having an inner squad event during the last week of the year, but I don't expect too much productivity there :P Nor the first week of the new year. Tomorrow is too late for organizing, but the ongoing weekends should be perfect! (dec.11-12, dec.18.19) if it also fits for you.

As for the numbers, the 6-4 setup on our side is a fix number or sg. like that? I think I don't get it.

Let us know if any other squads are involved (2IAE maybe??? any word on them?)

Hi Lefty
6 and 4 are the numbers i got from Streightholo. We can bring up 5-6 fighters. On dec 11th we have a match against UVAF, so I think this weekend is out. Dec 18/19 could work. Let's wait some days so everybody can check his schedule.

Other squads? Why not. Even choper guys could fit in. We will ask around and report back here. All we need is a missionmaker I guess.

We've posted the date on our forum and hope to give a yes/no by Friday, perhaps you guys could do the same. In case both sides would have enough pilots we would have a week to put a quick mission together. Bombing an airfield wouldn't require a lot of mission building... man, I'm jumping the gun again.

Just a quick update, things are leaning towards Dec.19 at the moment.
What time did you guys have in mind?
As for the set up, my suggestion would be the tryed and true method: 51st server to host mission and 59th TS3 server for comm.
